Zurich

The new neighbourhood offers space for around 180 apartments and will provide a new home for around 500 people. It will also be home to a kindergarten run by the City of Zurich, a café at Ueberlandpark and the new branch office of Baugenossenschaft Süd-Ost.

The four-storey garden houses are based on a stacked terraced house typology, which is particularly suitable for family apartments. The ground-floor row houses have an address on the park courtyard and direct access to the courtyard. Above them are the terraced houses with a connection to the Ueberlandpark level and generous outdoor spaces. In addition to apartments on the first floor, the eight-storey rows contain studio apartments that are addressed directly from the park courtyard and extend over two storeys.

The buildings dock onto the Ueberlandpark with massive bridge structures and continue the physical presence of the enclosure in the neighbourhood.
